Drop off Notes

**Express Drop-Off .  Express drop-off is only for those that tag ALL of their items for REDUCE and DONATE.  No need to park and unload we will even unload your car and take your items into the sale for you.   Please select your appointment time here. (Space is Limited)

300+ Consignors Drop-Off:  Consignors with more than 300 items must make a drop-off appointment.  Please select your appointment time here. 

If you are consigning 500+ items please email us at shawna@jbfsale.com to set up you drop off time.

Second Drop-off  Optional:  Thursday January 25th
6pm to 8pm

Find more items to consign after the sale starts? You can bring them to this mid-sale drop off and still make the sale! (Please no clothes or shoes or car seats during this time.)  All items for second drop off must be marked for reduce!

Pre-sorting Your Items for Drop-Off: Please have your clothes sorted by gender and size before you arrive for drop-off. This will make placing your items on the sales floor easier and faster for you. In fact, those individuals who pre-sort typically take less than ten minutes to place to hang items in their appropriate sizes on the racks.

PICK UP

Consignor Pick up Of Unsold Items:  Sunday January 27th from 2-4pm by Appointment!

In order to make pick up as smooth as possible we have moved to appointment time slots for pick up.  Sign Up For Your Pick Up Time Here.


At 4:01pm remaining items are donated to our charity partner. Sorry, no exceptions!

What To Expect At Pick Up:
We recommend bringing your own bin or bags to transport any unsold items home. You are able to send someone else to pick up your items just make sure they have your consignor #.


When you get to the TCC, look for our JBF Dads and Grandads who will direct you into the roundabout to park to load your vehicle. Then proceed to the ballroom, Follow These Easy Steps:

1. Check in with the greeter 
2. A member of the Consignor Pick Up Team will escort you to your items.  All items will be sorted into consignor #. Make sure you bring your consignor # with you to pick up.
3. Once you picked up your items sign out and be on your way.
4. You can expect your check to be emailed within 2 weeks of the sale. :)

Tagging Overview

Barcode Tags: JBF offers an easy-to-use online barcode tagging system, available FREE to all JBF consignors.  All you need to do is log in to your JBF Profile at www.jbfsale.com/nwtucson.  Once you are log into your profile click on Enter My Tags and you will go to the tagging site.  It is NOW all in one spot!!

IMPORTANT: Print bar-coded tags on cardstock. Nine tags, will print out with all information included.

Safety Pins: We recommend using the 1" or larger safety pins: no straight pins please. Also, remember that REALLY BIG safety pins can make holes in fabric.

Donating Unsold Items to Charity (optional): Please check the "donate" button on your myjbftags.com inventory if you want to donate any unsold items at the end of the sale. Any items not picked-up during the scheduled consignor pick-up times will be donated.

DID YOU KNOW?: You do not have to donate all items, if there are some you wish to keep if they do not sell. Remember, too that we pull all donated items FIRST during breakdown and all items are picked-up by our local charity, More Than A Bed.

Pricing Your Items: You set your own price on all items, but price them to sell! Generally, items sell for 1/3 to 1/2 of the original price, depending on name brand and condition.

Better brand names, unique items, or high priced items usually bring more. Ask yourself, "What would I pay for this item? Please use $.50 price increments only (i.e. $6.00 or $6.50 rather than $6.99).

You set your own prices. Remember hanging items need to start at $3. All other items can start at .50 You must price in 50 cent and dollar increments. If your single hanging item will not bring $3 then match it will something else to bring your starting price to $3. We also recommend allowing your items to go half price during the half price sale.

Participating in Half Price Sale Day (optional): In your tagging account, you can select "reduce" if you wish to allow the item to be sold for a reduced amount during our half price sale. If you decide not to reduce an item, this will be denoted by a star that will print out on the tag. A "star" tag tells shoppers that the item will remain Full Price throughout the sale. Please be selective with the items you star, since items with no stars tend to sell better on the discount days. If you are donating your items at the end of the sale, please do not put a "star" on your tag because you will have a better chance of selling them.

Chargers and Batteries: Chargers must be included with all power toys, as well as the appropriate working batteries. Make sure to have working batteries in all of your items, all rechargeable batteries charged and then secure the chargers in a visible place for shoppers to test/see.

Baby Equipment & Furniture

Exersaucers, swings, high chairs, changing tables, cribs (Manufactured AFTER June 28, 2011), strollers, bath seats, baby walkers, car seats & car seat accessories must be checked for safety recalls, must have all parts, and be in good condition. Children's furniture - beds (toddler, twin), desks, side tables, dressers, etc.  Household furniture - please see Mommy Mart information below.

Package:  If item has multiple pieces use packaging tape, zip-ties, or string to keep items attached together. If wooden furniture has loose parts, use clear plastic wrap to secure item. All furniture and equipment must be assembled during the sale. Batteries must be included, if applicable. Please bring a Car Seat Checklist (link) for all car seats, booster seats, and car seat base or infant carrier.

Price:  Price items 1/3 of the retail price. Items in great condition tend to sell very well.

Tag:  Attach JBF tag directly to item with clear packaging tape or hole-punch JBF tag and tie it to item or pin to the item.

Bedding, Blankets & Texiles

Don't forget :  We will no longer  be accepting Crib or Twin Bedding sets.  

Please be selective when selling bedding, blankets, receiving blankets, burp cloths, and towels. New and barely used items sell best. Check carefully for stains; shoppers get very disappointed if they find a stain in a bundled blanket once they get home.

Package:  We recommend hanging blankets and towels.  Burp Cloths can be bagged. 

Books, Games, DVDs & Arts/Crafts

Books, book sets, board games, puzzles, video games, video game systems,  arts & crafts sets are great items for resale.   Games and puzzles must have all pieces.  (No “adult content, please.)  Check items to ensure they are in great condition.

Package:  Use clear, self-seal bags or clear cling wrap (saran wrap) to hold multiple items together; Tie sets of books together with ribbon/string. Be sure that parts/games to video game systems (such as Vtech) cannot be separated or switched out at the sale. 


Price:  Prices start at $.50 go up in this category, depending on the item. If you would like a high-priced item placed on the High Value Cart neat checkout, please see a team leader during Drop Off.


Tag:  When tagging books, please attach your tag to the book with clear tape that can be removed without damaging the item. Please do not use masking or double sided tape. For sets or bundles of books, please place them inside a large zip-lock bag or wrap them several times with clear, plastic wrap and then secure the tag to the front of the books.

Clothes

We sell children's clothing Premie  through size 20 for boys and Premie thru Juniors for Girls.  We also sell Maternity Clothes.

Be picky. Look at your clothing items as if you were going to purchase them. No stained or damaged items will be accepted.  Please freshlyclean your clothing items. Replace missing buttons, sew loose hems and seams, and clip loose threads. Pleasebutton all buttons, snap all snaps, zip all zippers before you arrive at drop off. This will ensure that there are nodefects in the clothing. The newer the item looks (and the better it smells), the better it will sell.

Hangers - Please hang clothes so the hanger hook points to the left (like a question mark).

Please hang size 0-5 clothing on child-size hangers

Clothing that falls off the hanger onto the floor does not sell well. Old Navy and many outlet stores are greatplaces to get free hangers (they throw away hangers daily!) and WalMart & Target sell child-size plastic tube hangers at a great price.

Clothing Sets - Sets tend to sellbetter (under size 6) so match things up if you can. Allgarments should be hung with the hanger hook pointing left (hanger should resemble a question mark when looking at the front of item). Safety pin or use a tagging gun to attach clothing sets securely with bottom garment hung on the backside of the shirt, so both pieces can be viewed without separating them.

Pants/Shorts- Pant-clip hangers are great but if you use a standard hanger, simply use your tagging gun to attach pants to thetop part of the hanger so the garment will not slidethat

Price:  Remember hanging items need to start at $3.  If your single hanging item will not bring $3 then match it will something else to bring your starting price to $3.

Tag:  Clothing on Hangers - Attach tag with a tagging gun or safety pin to the label of shirt or upper right front of pants. Insert the gun in a label or inside seam NOT through part of the clothing (to avoid making a hole or tear in the clothing). Also, pull on the tag to make sure it is properly secured and will not come off easily. Please make sure consignor tags are pulled out of the clothing so they are easily visible to the customers.

 

Infant Items

Nursing Items, feeding items, monitors, safety items, diapering & toileting items, rattles, and more. Please check for safety recalls on all items that you consign.

Package:  If item has multiple pieces use packaging tape, tagging gun, safety pins or clear self-seal bags to keep items attached together and clearly visible to shoppers. Batteries must be included, if applicable.

Price: Price at 1/3 of the retail price. Items in great condition tend to sell very well.

Tag: Attach JBF tag directly to item or clear self-seal bag with clear packaging tape or hole-punch JBF tag and tie it to item or safety pin to item.

Mommy Mart

At the Tucson sale, we are pleased to have space to have our Mommy Mart area for furniture items from the rest of your house (not just from your children's rooms). 

We gladly accept the following items in good condition:
• dining room/dinette sets
• bookcases/entertainment centers
• coffee tables/end tables
• bedroom sets
• dressers/chest of drawers/armoires
• desks
• porch furniture (wicker, rocker, porch swing)
• Rockers & Gilders
• Picture Frames
• Designer Handbags

JBF Re-Gifting Center:  We will have a few tables for new gift items that are specifically related to MOMS. This gives you a terrific chance to re-gift all those wonderful, thoughtful items that have never been used…like that  Bath & Body Gift Pack in your least favorite fragrance.  Please bring only "family-friendly" items that are new !


Crafter's Corner: Do you have extra scrapbooking supplies, an abundance of vintage quilt material, or too many stamp pads to count? If so, simply sign-up to consign with us, bag your items so they don’t get separated and then bring them to the Crafter’s Corner of our JBF sale! Check out just some of the many items we are accepting...All Scrapbook Supplies:albums, stickers, punches, scissors, Sizzix machines/dies, storage items, mats, cutters, all sizes of scrapbook paper, embellishments, Creative Memories items, kits, die cutouts, supply carriers, adhesives, tools, rub-ons, ribbons, eyelets, brads... Rubber Stamp Supplies: stamps, stamp pads, ink pads, embossing materials, paper/cards, coloring pens...Jewelry Making Supplies: beads, embellishments, tools, chains, thread, clasps... Sewing Supplies: anything to do with cross-stitching, crocheting, knitting, needlepoint or embroidery...Quilting Supplies fabric, patterns, scissors, thread, hoops, batting...

Shoes

Make sure that shoes are clean, clean, clean! We will be VERY selective with shoes during Consignor Drop Off & Inspection. We accept any size of shoe. 


Package: Fasten shoes together with curling ribbon. For shoes without laces, you may put the shoes in a clear zip-lock bag. No shoe boxes please.


Tag: Punch a hole in the top of your tag and attach the tag to the shoes with the ribbon For shoes in a clear zip-lock bag, tape the tag to the bag.

Toys

TOYS! TOYS! TOYS!  Toys are great sellers!  All toys must be checked for safety recalls before consigning.  Clean all toys thoroughly.  Please test to make sure that toys and equipment are working properly. Battery operated toys must include working batteries (these can be purchased inexpensively at the Dollar store).

JBF Tucson only acdepts name brand stuffed animals.  New for 2019:   All stuffed animals must be marked reduced and donate.

Package:  Keeping tags and multiple items attached is essential for your items to sell. Bag all small parts belonging to toys/equipment in self-seal bags and tape the bag shut with clear packing tape. Fasten the bag securely to the item with ribbon, tape, or zip ties. Items must include ALL working parts.


Price:  Prices can start at .50 and go up.  At JBF we recommend pricing items at 1/3 of retail.


Tag:  Attach JBF tag directly to item with clear packaging tape or hole-punch JBF tag and tie it to item.

Unacceptable Items

We are unable to take the following items at the JBF Tucson sale:

  • adult clothing
  • generic stuffed animals or beanie   babies
  • Bedding Sets/ Comforters of any size
  • Rated R Movies or Adult themed video games
  • antiques
  • upholstered chairs and couches (the only exception is dining room chairs or bar stools
  • exercise equipment ( treadmills, stationary bikes)
  • lamps, knick knacks, figurines
  • electronics (TV's, DVD players, etc.)
  • kitchen/household appliances
  • floral arrangements
  • dishes
  • breakable sit arounds (ie: Precious  Moments, vases etc.)
  • mattress sets (except crib /toddler bed mattresses)
  • pet items

Here's What's New for 2019:

  • All stuffed animals must be character stuffed animals no generic or beanie babies.  They must be marked reduce and donate.

Valet Tagging Service

Too busy to consign? Have your items prepared and tagged for you. You will make a reduced percentage for this convenient service - Valet tags earn 50% (minus a $15 consignor fee) and let someone else do the work for you.

It's SO easy! You provide the clean clothing items & hangers and we will prepare, price and deliver your items to the sale. Items must be free of stains and toys must have all working parts and batteries. We take care of providing all the supplies ( tags & safety pins) to get your items prepared.

Valet Tagging is available only to a limited number of consingors.  Our valet service is open from November til to early January or when all spaces are full.  Email us to reserve your spot for the Spring Sale.

Tagging Tips from Succesful Consignors

  • Gather needed supplies: white cardstock, safety pins, hangers, packing tape, resealable baggies, zip-ties and/or string.
  • Tag the big ticket items first, like strollers, high chairs, exersaucers & outdoor equipment (more bang for your buck & they all sell FAST).
  • Double check that clothes and shoes are in good condition, without stains, holes or scuff marks.
  • Position your hangers like question marks when looking at the front of the garment and pin the price tag on the right side.
  • Seal baggies shut with packing tape.
  • Presort clothes by size and gender for your drop off convenience.
  • Schedule a drop off appointment if you have 300+ items by emailing shawna@jbfsale.com.
  • Tell a friend - better yet, tell 10! The more you TELL the more you SELL.
